LAHORE :- Former Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaz Elahi stated on Saturday his support for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-“Jail Insaf’s Bharo Movement,” which would begin on February 22 in Lahore (Wednesday).
Mr Elahi paid a visit to PTI Chairman Imran Khan at his Zaman Park mansion in Lahore. At the meeting, both senior leaders addressed the country’s current political crisis, with the party’s “Jail Bharo” movement taking centre stage.
Speaking on the occasion, an ex-Punjab executive chastised the PDM-led government over the election schedule, claiming that the incumbents are terrified of Imran Khan’s popularity and are not respecting Lahore High Court (LHC) directives, endangering the integrity of the constitution.
He went on to claim that Imran is the only chance for the people, who are being crushed by skyrocketing inflation, and that the country would support Imran’s court arrest campaign.
The former premier, on the other hand, said that the PML-high N’s brass often criticised the judiciary in their speeches, adding that instead of implementing court rulings, they solely concentrated on “political victimisation” of PTI stalwarts.
