The head of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Maulana Fazlur Rehman, will meet Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, on Monday (PPP).
According to sources, the head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) will host a dinner for former President Pervez Musharraf, during which the recent developments surrounding Prime Minister Imran Khan’s no-confidence vote would be discussed.
Both leaders are expected to speak out about their dealings with government friends.
Mian Shehbaz Sharif, the President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), had sought Jahangir Tareen’s support for a no-confidence motion at a secret meeting the day before.
Regardless of the no-confidence motion, Tareen will continue to work with the PML-N.
According to sources, the discussion between the two leaders lasted many hours, and Jahangir received assistance from the National Assembly’s Opposition Leader.
