MULTAN : Friday, the Additional Inspector General of Police for South Punjab, Shahzad Sultan, instructed officers to implement stringent security measures for New Year’s Eve.

He directed that the patrolling system be made more efficient and that individuals who engage in pyrotechnics and one-wheeling be punished severely.

The Additional IGP for South Punjab made these remarks while presiding over a meeting.

AIG Operation Qazi Ali Raza, RPO Bahawalpur Munir Ahmad Zia, RPO DG Khan Syed Khurram Ali, DPO Rahim Yar Khan Akhtar Farooq, DPO Rajanpur Ahmed Mohiuddin, and DPO Rahim Yar Khan Akhtar Farooq were also present.

Shahzad Sultan advised the residents of South Punjab to maintain peace by maintaining optimism for the next year.

In addition, he said that a comprehensive plan will be developed to guarantee peace and order in South Punjab via resource management and constructive policies.

Mr. Shahzad Sultan was instructed to start a massive crackdown on narcotics dealers.

Additionally, the Additional IGP assessed the regional crime situation and urged the appropriate personnel to reduce robberies and thefts.
