BAHAWALPUR : Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur and District Council Administrator Zaheer Anwar Jappa paid a visit to the District Council in this city on Friday.
He examined the operations of the District Council’s numerous departments, the effectiveness of the officers and personnel, the cleanliness effort, and the collection of taxes.
Saddar Mohsin Nisar, Assistant Commissioner of Bahawalpur, Chief Officer of the District Council, Mian Azhar Javed, District Officers of Infrastructure and Services, Services, and Regulation, Javed Iqbal, Muhammad Yasir, and other pertinent officials were present.
According to the DC, government business should be conducted openly. He advised immediate desilting of the sewage pipes and routine maintenance of the sewage system.
He gave the order for the street lights to be turned on and for the encroachments under the district council’s purview to be removed.
He advised routine maintenance of water filtration systems to ensure the community’s access to clean water.
He instructed that emphasis be placed on growing more plants. He did it by placing a fruit tree inside the district council office.
