BHERA — A man fatally shot his daughter and her mother-in-law. The perpetrator was apparently upset over his daughter’s marriage.
The murder happened in the Haji Gulab neighbourhood, according to police sources. The perpetrator was upset with his daughter Hina’s marriage to Zubair and often engaged in fights and brawls over the matter.
Hina, his daughter, married Zubair eight months earlier and was six months pregnant at the time of the murder.
The girl and her mother-in-law were taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in severe condition after the event, where they died from their injuries without regaining consciousness. The perpetrator managed to flee the area, and police have created squads to track him down.
