LAHORE (Web Desk) – A police search warrant for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan’s home in Zaman Park was deemed useless on Tuesday by an anti-terrorism court (ATC).

When announcing the reserved judgement, the ATC judge said that one-time warrants were not permanent.

The PTI director had filed a motion with the court opposing the search warrants, arguing that the law enforcement authorities had obtained the orders with malice. He had asked for the warrants to be cancelled as well.

The terrorists who were reportedly present inside the PTI chief’s home were the subject of arrest warrants obtained by the government.

When the trial began, the judge questioned the commissioner of the Lahore Division about the justification for the police involvement at Zaman Park.

The commissioner said that his team had been sent to remove any illegal buildings.

He did, however, admit that they had not yet carried out the search warrants.

The investigating officer was then asked by the court whether he still thought the search warrants were required. He responded by asking for more time so he could speak with his colleagues before responding to the court’s question.

The court reserved judgement on the matter after the arguments.
