LAHORE – According to unofficial results announced by Dunya News on Sunday, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Shaista Malik won the NA-133 Lahore by-elections.
According to the results of the constituency’s 254 distinct voting stations, PML-N representative Shaista Malik Parveiz received 46,811 votes and became winner with a 14,500 vote advantage, while PPP delegate Aslam Gill finished second with 32,313 votes.
The results of 254 were computed, according to forum 47. There were 80997 votes cast in the constituency out of 440485 total votes cast. The voter turnout remained at 18.59%, with 50936 men and 30959 female residents voting, while 898 ballots were thrown away.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Shaista Malik Pervaiz filed an application against the NA-133 polling personnel.
According to information, the candidate alleged that the presiding officials at polling stations in constituencies 232, 233, and 234 were involved in persuading the people to vote in favour of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) candidate.
It is worth noting that the PML-official N’s noted that the party’s polling agent immediately filed a complaint with the SHO and demanded that harsh punishment be taken against anyone found guilty of wrongdoing.
The voting for the by-election in Lahore’s NA-133 seat completed on Sunday, and the counting of votes in the constituency has begun.
The polling station opened at 8 a.m. and was open until 5 p.m. on December 5, 2021.
A total of 11 candidates were in the running for the by-election, with the PML-Shaista N’s Pervez and the Peoples Party’s Aslam Gul slated to face off.
Furthermore, 254 voting sites were set up for the NA-133 election, including 22 A polling stations, 198 B polling stations, and 34 C polling stations.
There are 200 distinct polling stations for men and women, as well as 54 mixed polling stations.
According to CCPO Lahore, top police personnel were assigned to supervise the security preparations through patrols or the control room to ensure accurate voting.
