Rehman Malik, the leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and a former interior minister, died in the early hours of Wednesday in Islamabad. He was 70 years old.
Rehman Malik was reportedly transported to a private facility in Islamabad on February 1 for treatment of post-Covid lungs difficulties, where he died on Wednesday, according to sources.
Rehman Malik had recently recovered from coronavirus, according to sources, but his health suddenly deteriorated on February 1 and he was admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Rehman Malik has suffered serious lung problems as a result of the coronavirus, according to reports.
