Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, said on Thursday night that he would continue to struggle for “real freedom” even if he were left alone.

Aamer Mehmood Kiani, a former federal minister for national health services, and Malik Amin Aslam, a former federal minister for the environment, have both announced their resignation from the PTI, citing the party’s role in the May 9 attacks on “security installations” as justification. Others have called for Mr. Khan to publicly denounce the attacks.

“Don’t you dare think that I’ll step back due to pressure,” he remarked during a Q&A with media at his Zaman Park mansion. He stated that if two attempts at murder hadn’t succeeded in knocking him back, he would have persisted in standing.

Imran queries, “Who likes fighting army?”

Who enjoyed taking on his troops, he questioned. “Fighting the army means losing the country,” he said.

Show me someone who doesn’t condemn the assault on the Lahore Corps Commander House, Mr. Khan said, adding that he was not in the middle of any conversations at the time. I’ll just discuss elections,” he continued.

He claimed to have proof of how individuals were forced into the home of the Lahore Corps Commander. Bring out the CCTV tape to show who set the home on fire, he continued. He said that Dr. Yasmin Rashid and other PTI officials forbade them from assaulting the Jinnah home.

The former premier said that the PTI had no doubt that 25 unarmed individuals were shot in the face during demonstrations and that it was unsure about the other victims. “As many as 7000 PTI workers have been arrested,” he said. He said that if an impartial committee looked into it, it would assist reveal a planned scheme.

PDM’s “plan” to put PTI and the army at odds

At one point, he hinted that the PDM had devised a scheme to pit the PTI against the army and then forbid it. He said, “It was because they lost 30 by-elections out of 37 [national] races.

Mr. Khan went on to claim that the government was using tactical knockout. “They’ve been trying to kill the party for a year, and all it did was grow the PTI’s voter base,” he said.

He alleged that everything was done as part of a [larger] London plot to smash the party and get rid of him.

Interim government in Punjab’s legitimacy is contested

He questioned the Punjab caretaker government’s legitimacy and said it was put in place so that elections could be held. “They have violated the constitution,” he continued. He said that the federal government colluded with the ECP and the temporary Punjabi administration.

He continued by saying that any alternative to free and fair elections was bad for Pakistan. He said, “Pakistan is experiencing historic inflation.” Everyone anticipated a boom in the economy after political stability.

Imran’s powerful appeal to the people

The former prime minister had already attacked the PDM on Twitter, calling it “a gang of thugs and criminals is dominating the country.”

He bemoaned that “the rulers are using their power to eliminate the country’s leading political party through a fascist approach amid the deep economic woes and challenges faced by rising unemployment.”
